Rhythm Wrap-Up
To review:
- The most fundamental feature of language is rhythm.
- Speech-rhythm is broken down into stressed, unstressed or silent syllables.
- To understand speech in a foreign language you need to develop the ability to perceive rhythm.
- “Idahosa” is pronounced ee-DOW-ssah and NOT ai-duh-HO-suh
Hope you enjoyed today’s mini-lesson! Tomorrow, we’ll learn about vowels and how to correctly tune the vowels of your target language.
So be sure to keep an eye out for the email from me with “Lesson 2” in the title.
Below you’ll find the answers to the exercises.
Til then, keep on flowin’ my friend! 😉
