Step 3 of 5:

How to Upload Your Recording

This Step will teach you how to record your beautiful voice and upload it to Soundcloud. 

1 – Navigate to the Recording Page

1. In your Soundcloud dashboard, click on “upload“
2. You will arrive at the upload page. 

Note: Please note that this feature is not available on the mobile version of the Soundcloud app.

2 – Start Your Recording

1. Open your native recording application and click the REC button.
2. When you are finished recording, click the stop button.
3. Save your file and Continue.

RECORDING ON MAC

1. To record your voice, open QuickTime by clicking the QuickTime icon in the toolbar or Applications folder.
2. At the top of the screen, click on File and select New Audio Recording.
3. A new window will appear on the desktop.
4. Click on File and select “Save…”
5. Save the file to your Desktop. 
6. Upload the file to soundcloud on this page.

RECORDING ON PC

1. Click on the Start then All Programs
2. Open the Accessories file then click on Sound Recorder
3. When the new window opens, connect your microphone with your computer and then click on Start Recording
4. After recording, click on Stop Recording and then save the audio file wherever you want by the name you want.
5. Upload the file to soundcloud on this page.

3 – Configure & Save Your Recording

1. Make sure to title your track with the Lesson Title and Your Name
2. Make sure to change the track to “public.”
3. Click Save.

Note: Please do not alter the title of your recording, or else the link will change and we will not be able to open it.
